The 114-acre Garth Newel Music Center, located in the beautiful County of Bath in the Virginia’s Western Highlands provides you with that magical place in which to make those special dreams come true.

Catering and Event Services

We have a long tradition of culinary excellence created by our resident Chef Josh Elliott and his skilled team. In addition to preparing wonderful meals that follow and complement our musical performances, our creative and inventive Chef and his culinary team will work with you to create the menus you desire. Whether it is baked goods, appetizers, boxed lunches, carry-out or a fully catered gourmet meal, our team is prepared to work with you.

If you are planning to host an event on property such as a rehearsal dinner, wedding, reunion, formal dinner, business session or retreat or perhaps just a casual barbecue or we offer several well priced packages and amenities to ensure your event is perfect.

We offer a full bar service that includes event staff and a Top Shelf brand stocked bar. We also offer a Wine and Beer Bar.

We have a full vendor list of support staff so that you can select your Wedding Officiants, DJ’s, Photographers and Florists from a list of approved vendors with whom we work.

Weddings and Special Events

Depending upon your needs we can offer you both indoor and outdoor settings for your events. If you prefer to plan an outdoor wedding or event, we have a variety of vistas and landscapes from which to choose. When not in use for musical performances Herter Hall can be transformed into a wedding chapel, a meeting room, or a reception area. The concert hall, complete with stage, provides a variety of set-ups for any event. Herter Hall is entered through a covered patio which provides an ideal reception and cocktail area as well as outdoor meeting and dining space. Smaller weddings and gatherings can also be held in the historic Manor House, where your event will take on the feeling of “being in your own estate home . . . away from home”.

Tables and Basic Event Chairs

Garth Newel provides tables and chairs for all indoor events for groups up to 150. We will rent the necessary equipment for events that exceed our inventory or for alternative styles requested. The client is responsible for those rental costs as well as the delivery fees.
