Her New Home was commissioned by Garth Newel Music Center for the 50th Anniversary celebratory year. As a chamber opera, it tells the story of Christine Herter Kendall (Garth Newel’s Founder) and the love affair with William Sergeant Kendall that led them to create Garth Newel, which the couple named because it meant “New Home” in Welsh.
